Founded in 2009, HOK Product Design®, LLC is an independent company supported by designers who apply design thinking to create innovative products for the building industry.
The studio works in partnership with a wide range of companies to develop new ideas that enhance their portfolios and strengthen their presence in the market. HOK Product Design has been granted three design patents and three utility patents, and has filed several trademarks, including Eco-System and Freno Rain Garden.
Four of its products have earned prestigious awards, such as Best of NeoCon Gold, Silver, Innovation and Editor's Choice. Much of its work has been featured in Interiors & Sources, Architect, Fast Company Design, Contract, Landscape Architecture, OfficeInsight, Form and Healthcare Design.
Susan Grossinger, now Product Design leader, has twenty years of experience at HOK; before taking on her current role, she was Director of Interiors in Los Angeles for 15 years. She has also served on the Board of Directors, as well as on the Marketing and Interiors leadership boards.
