Design & Nature

Lea Ceramiche’s Contribution to Three Modern Homes.

When architecture and nature meet, projects come to life that redefine the concept of living.

Spaces where the landscape integrates into the design, while the beauty of materials celebrates the harmony between indoors and outdoors. Glass walls that dissolve boundaries, contemporary and essential forms: each environment tells a unique story of balance and design.

Three exemplary projects embody this philosophy, showing how nature and cutting-edge architecture can merge into a perfect synthesis, where ceramic materials become true protagonists. The common thread is Nextone, an innovative collection, the result of Lea Ceramiche’s exclusive 3-Tech Project and thus developed in three production technologies and as many thicknesses. A complete system of formats, colors, and decorations, designed to elegantly adapt to every architectural requirement.

A modern villa surrounded by the greenery of Pordenone

A contemporary residence that contrasts the lush nature with the rigor of geometric forms and plays of transparency. A splendid villa, designed by Architect Mariano Sessa, with large outdoor spaces dedicated to relaxation and conviviality, whose glass façades reflect the surrounding landscape, creating a striking optical effect.

The large Nextone slabs, with thicknesses of 6 and 9 mm, were used both for flooring and wall cladding indoors, while the 60x60 cm format in 20 mm was chosen to provide unmatched resistance for outdoor areas. The shades Next Dark and Next Taupe emphasize the dialogue between the villa’s contemporary design and the surrounding natural environment: the darker tones, in refined contrast with the lighter ones, enhance the architectural elegance of the project. The ultra-thin Slimtech slabs, only 6 mm thick, combine lightness, strength, and sustainability. Produced through advanced manufacturing processes, they reduce the consumption of raw materials, energy, and water, while limiting CO2 emissions. Thanks to the THINk ZERO project, residual emissions are fully offset, offering a product with a zero-impact life cycle.

Green Housing Castel Franco Veneto

Designed by Archilab-studio in synergy with Zacchia Srl, this residence rises in a residential area adjacent to the historic center of Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso. The project involved the demolition of a 1960s building and the subsequent reconstruction of a new home, characterized by large windows that dissolve the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, offering an immersive connection with the surrounding nature.

For the interior and exterior floors of the house, the large ultra-thin slabs of the Nextone collection were chosen. Selected in multiple formats, available in three different thicknesses, this collection brings both indoors and outdoors the aesthetic and natural balance of stone, offering flawless visual continuity between the garden and the interior spaces. The shade Next Taupe, a warm grey with brown undertones, gives the surfaces enveloping warmth and elegant materiality. For the bathroom, the Noblesse collection was used, a selection of ceramic marbles inspired by the most noble natural essences with vibrant and innovative colors and recalibrated classic nuances. Standing out in the project is Gray Marble, a marble with a refined and complex texture featuring mineral inserts ranging from ivory to bronze, enhancing walls, bathtub, shower, and washbasin with beauty. A project that redesigns spaces to offer not only comfort but also a deep connection with nature.

The Essence of Nature: a Contemporary Retreat in Three Falls

Designed by the Obicua Architecture studio on an extraordinary plot overlooking a stream in Three Falls, Alpine (Utah), this private residence was conceived as an escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Given the stunning beauty of the surrounding environment – featuring an aspen and red pine forest, a stream with multiple waterfalls, and panoramic views – the home was built as a series of terraces and decks that open out onto this natural beauty.

The entire interior design was conceived as a harmonious continuation of the exterior surroundings. The grey and beige tones of the rocks upon which the house is built, inspired the fabrics of the armchairs and sofas, while the materials were chosen to balance the natural light that floods the interiors and shines upon the walls and floors. Nextone by Lea Ceramiche was used for the latter (90x90 cm, 9 mm thick), in the Next White nuance to express “the warm freshness” of stone, creating an expansive effect in the space. Furthermore, the floors by Lea Ceramiche, paired with handcrafted Italian furniture in all of the rooms, give the interior spaces a sense of elegance and contemporary style.
