In Milano Marittima, a renowned destination on the Romagna Riviera, the new Bolina Suite & Spa designed by Tamburini Bazzocchi Architetti reinterprets the idea of a seaside hotel with an essential and vertical architectural language.
The project stems from the reconstruction of a 1950s building, rethought in a contemporary key to create a slimmer, more permeable structure, open to light and in constant dialogue with the coastal landscape.
Fluid lines, curvilinear balconies and large glazed surfaces shape an architecture of solids and voids, where material and transparency meet in a refined balance. The building, arranged over nine floors, houses 37 rooms and four suites, culminating in a panoramic spa overlooking the horizon at 360°, where light becomes material and creates spaces of balance, well-being and silence.
The Lea Ceramiche surfaces define the material and sensory character of the project, accompanying each environment with textures and finishes chosen to express elegance, coherence and comfort. Indoors, the suites and bathrooms feature the Noblesse – Calacatta Oro collection, used in the natural version for floors and the polished version for wall coverings: a luminous and sophisticated ceramic marble that amplifies the perception of space and the quality of light.
Outside, the façades, defined by a material base marking the ground floor, are clad in the Gray Flow variant of the Waterfall collection, which expresses the strength of natural stone and creates continuity between architecture and the coastal landscape.
The balconies of the suites, on the other hand, are finished with the Masterpiece – Master White natural collection, completing the ensemble with an essential and contemporary tone, in harmony with the sinuous lines of the façades. In every environment, the Lea Ceramiche surfaces become an integral part of the architecture: a dialogue between design and technology that transforms the space into an experience of timeless well-being and beauty.
